Paul Gregg - Chairman

Chair of the Board, Paul Gregg, is the most successful theatre impresario of our generation.

Paul Gregg, Chairman of Symposia Theatres formed Apollo Leisure in 1977. It grew to be the most extensive theatre and entertainment group in the U.K. It was sold to SFX Entertainment in 1999 and the venues you will now recognise under the ownership of Ambassador Theatre Group.

The original portfolio of 26 venues included The Point Dublin (Riverdance); the Hammersmith Apollo (formerly Odeon); the Apollo Victoria (Starlight Express and Wicked – 14 years); the Dominion (We Will Rock You – 12 years); the Edinburgh Playhouse (the largest theatre in the U.K.).

Paul acquired The Lyceum Theatre in London in the 1990s and following a £14 million renovation, he opened Disney’s The Lion King in 1999, which is still playing and has been seen by over 16million people.

Paul remains a passionate driving force in the world of theatre operations, creating the initial concept of our Coliseums and is a hands-on Chairman, advising on all directions of the company.

In 2022, Paul was awarded the operation of the prestigious Arcelor Mittal Orbit at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
